In the presence of extraordinary actuality consciousness takes the place of imagination.
Wallace Stevens (1879-1955) Pulitzer Prize winning American poet
“This quote begs the question, what is extraordinary actuality? As I contemplate this quote while writing Making Contact, I ponder the possibility of the presence of beings that exist beyond our imagination. What is inspiring for me is that we have yet to imagine what these beings are. We can’t imagine what we have yet to perceive but with this actuality of a presence, we start to wake up to a greater part of our mind. We incorporate a greater reality because we have to face the larger existence that has always been here and now it’s time to know it. This quote reminds me of waking up to a deeper place we’ve already known.”
