You’ll be inspired by this month’s guests. You’ll hear from James O’Dea who is a pioneer in peacemaking. There is a deep longing in the world today for peace. Here he shares practical, insightful, and inspiring messages of peace. We’ll also hear from Fr. Francis Tiso talking about his research on the dissolution of the material body at death and how that relates to the resurrection of Jesus. Leslie Shore joins us to talk about deep listening. She describes how listening is a skill that we have to learn. It takes effort, attention, patience, and practice. Effective listening can improve our relationships and our jobs, and enhance our intelligence. She explains what it takes and what gets in the way. We’ll also hear from Kira Asatryan who highlights a culture of loneliness. Despite being connected 24/7 with others, post-modern life is replete with loneliness. She explores how to build fulfilling and deep connections with others and make closeness flourish.
“It’s been really fun to be on New Dimensions. I think what I’ve enjoyed about this is having a platform to normalize a topic that some people feel a lot of shame about. It allowed me to talk about something that a lot of people don’t regularly talk about.”
Kira Asatryan is the author of Stop Being Lonely: Three Simple Steps to Developing Close Friendships and Deep Relationships.
