We need to consciously bring in spirit, spirit understood as the transcendent or universal dimension of the consciousness of humanity, which is accessible to all of us through our hearts. We need to bring in that higher universal wisdom. When we come together and face the magnitude of the injustice and the wounds and all of the shadow around gender and sexuality and be present with that, without flinching, and staying with the process, the tears, emotions, then the whole community begins to move. That is when spirit comes through, and grace comes forward as a powerful healing.”
