Death is the middle of a long life.
-Irish Quote
When death finds you let it find you alive.
—African quote
Both of these quotes are suggesting that it’s in the dark parts of our life that we find the real threads of our life. When it seems like all is about to end, we’re actually closer to being fully alive. I remind myself of that. I know I’m going to die one day so I want to die fully alive, not die afraid of life, not die hesitating about life. I want to die fully caught up in a living breath of life. They say, if you’re living fully when death comes, you’re neither angry nor afraid.
