On Sunday, May 7 at 9:00 A.M. Pacific time I’ll be joining Barbara Gaughen-Muller as a guest on the Peace on Earth Book Club. We’ll be highlighting the following volumes from Robert’s book Most of All They Taught Me Happiness: Lessons from Adulthood, Lessons from Nature, Lessons From My Elders (Pages 47-106).
Barbara continues to carry on the work of her dear, late life partner Robert Muller (1923-2010), an international civil servant. The list of his contributions to the world is long and distinguished, including the Albert Schweitzer International Prize for the Humanities. He served with the United Nations for 40 years, rising to the rank of assistant secretary-general. Being with Robert was to be showered with infectious joy and grounded optimism for the happiness of all living beings.

Dear Barbara:
I listened to Justine this morning. Thank you for passing her along. You two are peas in a pod, both so loving and always smiling. I believe that there is an energy that brings us all together. Some might call it God, others Love. Yes, the glue that sustains us and fosters forgiveness and curiosity. You are both gift givers that, like stars, explode with love and energy that warms everyone around you.
I am enjoying Robert Muller’s book Most of All, they Taught me Happiness. [As Justine describes him] Your Chief Spiritual Officer (CSO) of positive thinking – “Every day in every way, I’m getting better” is the perfect way to start the day. Instead of following after money, we need to follow after joy. Justine was cognizant of little details such as having the book, The Prophet: The Hatmaker’s Son, the Life of Robert Muller on her bookcase behind her during the interview. When she was talking about the honor of being on your show, and describing you, and you turned it around and said that she was talking about herself, was perfect. I do find that the opposite is often true, that people who criticize others are often guilty of what they are criticizing themselves.
