The illusion of separation is dying and a new social synergy is being born. There is an emerging self-actualizing society of which we are all a part. Barbara Marx Hubbard has been studying social evolution for over 40 years, and she tells us how important it is to realize our potential, independently, and as a whole. “Social evolution happens when we join rather than separate,” she says. This thing she calls “social synergy” happens when we each create and share our gifts with the world, realizing that no one can succeed without all others. To become part of the emerging cosmic birth we must co-create. We are building a new species, and we have a responsibility to do so in a way that helps us evolve, innovate and become a whole, better being. She encourages us to engage in a synergistic way that goes beyond cooperating and collaborating, emphasizing “connecting what’s working…We’re either going to devolution and destruction of our environment and life support system, or we’re going to evolution toward a future equal to our potential.”
